Beach Restoration
Challenge:
Coastal ecosystems were under threat from erosion, plastic pollution, and habitat loss for marine life.
Opsis Intervention:
• Organized beach clean-up drives in Mumbai and Chennai.
• Planted native vegetation to prevent erosion and restore sand dunes.
• Conducted educational programs on marine biodiversity.
Outcome:
• 3 km of beaches restored.
• Hundreds of volunteers engaged in sustainable practices.
• Local schools adopted eco-awareness programs.
